Japan:

In Japan you should go with a travel-group - or at least speak a bit and piece of japanise... try to see the countryside as well as the cities!

Travel by train! organise the 'Japan Rail Pass' from outside Japan.

New Zealand:

If you ask me, the South Island is way better! The North Island is more culture and city life. The Action is in the South!

Travel by Kiwi Experience Bus or buy a car!

Australia:

You need TIME! I had 3 months and all I saw was the East Coast. Try not to see everything in no time - spend more in the places you are!

Travel with the Aussi Experience Bus or Greyhound Bus. Don't buy a car if you're the only one driveing. The distances are just to big.

Hawaii:

LEAVE the main island! Go and do some Island Hopping!

Flying is the cheapest way. Talk to the locals!

Chicago:

Stay in Backpacker/Hostels. They have a lot of events and activities going on! The Night-Life is a must-see!

Buy day tickets for the subway and bus! It's just 5$ a day and you can go everywhere you want in no time!
