Milan Design & Furniture Fair 2010 +++ Tips part 1

Huge! That is the one word I choose to describe the event.
As my first year visiting the fair and Milan, I didn’t know what to expect. Now that I do, here are some advices for first timers like me considering you arrived at Milan Central Station.
+++A small tip for travelers: do never leave tour luggage unwatched. And if someones asks you for something that is in your bag, say you don’t have it.
+++First off, you need to get to Rho Fiero Milano. I would suggest avoiding the metro if you don’t want to be laughed at by a sardine, it’s over packed. There are trains going all the way to that station, it’s more expensive but it’s worth the confort, realy!
+++Once you get to the Rho Fiero station, it’s not hard to find the fair, follow the crowd. At the entrance, you’ll find a bunch of people waiting in line to buy tickets. If you haven’t got yours sneak your way on the lower level as most people arriving from train and metro don’t know that there’s another ticket stand there. Time saved!
+++If you’re a group, set a meeting point in case you separate. As I said, it’s huge.
+++I am assuming you examined the fair plan before going. If you’re like me and like to observe the details of the furniture presented, prepare to be standing for 5-6 hours. Do not party the night before, you’ll want to be rested.
